YouTuber Demolition Ranch confirmed safe amid Texas floods
Popular YouTuber Matt Carriker, also known as Demolition Ranch, has been confirmed safe from the Texas floods as fans voiced concerns about his well-being.
The 2025 Texas floods haveclaimed the lives of at least 95 people, including children from Camp Mystic, an all-girls summer camp.

Experts are also watching to see if the flooding hits the mid-Atlantic, with forecasters also warning that slow-moving thunderstorms could cause more flash floods across the state.
Amid the chaos, Desperado Resort/Demolition Ranch was hit heavily by the floods, sparking fans of the since-retired YouTuber, Matt Carriker, to reach out and check in.

In a couple of Instagram videos, Desperado Resort shared clips showcasing the damage that the flooding did to the location.

In the comments, fans voiced concern for Carriker and wondered if he had been affected by the disaster.
“Is Matt, the crew, and his family safe? If they are, we know they are out there doing their best for the community. I am sorry for all the devastation on so many levels,” one user wrote.

The resort replied back, confirming that “everyone is safe” and in a subsequent message wrote, “all of our houses were unaffected by the floods.”
Carriker decided toquit YouTube and put his $15M property up for salein January 2025. He had 14 successful years on the platform with 700 videos of himself showcasing and using firearms.
Desperado Resort hasupdated its websitewith information on ways to help flood victims. They’re not the only ones trying to help Texans in need, either.

YouTubers Donut Operator and Brandon Herrera have worked tirelessly to find bodies and have been assisting with fundraising efforts.
Meanwhile, Maya Higa’s animal sanctuary has beenreceiving donations, including $10K from Valkyrae, after it was cut off by floods when heavy rain washed out the only road into the property.
