You could get perma-banned in Warzone for using this XP method
Warzoneplayers are reporting that they’ve been permanently banned from the game for going AFK to farm Battle Pass XP in Plunder.
While weapons and level are earned through score inCall of Duty,Battle PassXP is simply earned through playtime. You’ll level it up regardless of your performance, which means if you may’t dedicate several hours per week, you probably won’t be able to finish it in time.
Because of this, some players head to Plunder to AFK farm. They use various methods to keep their character moving, stopping them from being kicked for inactivity, thus leveling up the Battle Pass without actively playing the game.
However, it seems Activision are cracking down on this, as many players claim they’ve been permanently banned for “boosting.”
Warzone players banned for “boosting” in Plunder
Streamer LastChanceFPS was one of those players affected, being permanently banned on July 17. After appealing the ban, they were told it was for boosting, and the decision was final. They claimed they “barely” AFK’d in Plunder and used Zombies glitches “a while ago.”
According to Activision’sterms of service, boosting refers to “Any user who colludes with another user to exploit the game for the purpose of gaining XP, prestige, game score, weapon level, or in-game unlock.”

Players may be temporarily suspended for a first offence, but it could be permanent for “extreme or repeated offenses.”
While it doesn’t specifically mention players going AFK, it does say that players “found to have inventories containing content obtained outside of normal gameplay are subject to penalty.” This most likely refers to unlock tools (cheats), but Battle Pass rewards earned through going AFK could fall under that umbrella.
A common theory, shared byYouTuber Speros, is that “Farming XP like this increases your matches played and overall trust score of your account. This is one way cheat providers level the accounts they sell.” So, perhaps Activision are cracking down on this, but Plunder AFK farmers have also been caught.

The community has been pushing back against the decision, believing that a permanent ban without warning is too extreme. However, at the time of writing, Activision hasn’t commented on the situation.
In the meantime, you should avoid going AFK in Plunder (or any other mode) to speed up Battle Pass progression, as you now risk your account being permanently suspended.
