xQc slams YouTube streaming and claims they will never do anything about it

Streaming star Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel believes YouTube’s streams are “s*it” compared to others as more and more streamers are taking up multi-streams.

While Twitch has remained the dominant site for livestreaming, plenty of other platforms have attempted to make waves in the livestreaming space. The likes of Facebook Gaming, Mixer, and Dlive have all failed, but YouTube remains a viable option for some.

The Google-owned platform has, at times, given out big exclusive contracts to streamers in a bid to challenge Twitch. Even though they’ve slowed down on that front in recent years, there is a good number of creators who use it as their go-to platform.

Additionally, there are other streamers who use YouTube as a part of their multi-streams. Asmongold is the latest big name to be considering a switch away from Twitch exclusivity,urging X (formerly Twitter) to make some changesas he wants to stream there.

The former OTK member is, however, against streaming on YouTube due to some of their rules. Yet,xQcis on board with him giving it a miss, but not because of their rules.

“Sometimes, some companies don’t want to upgrade certain parts of their services because it’s not their main service. YouTube could make YouTube Live better but YouTube streaming sit. The UI is sit,” he said after hearing about Asmon wanting to multi-stream.

“I kept asking them why? Why is it so bad? Why aren’t they improving it? Because they don’t want to improve it. It is a video service platform that is expanding towards live service. They don’t want live service to be too different. It’s an add-on.”

Plenty of streamers have urged YouTube to make changes in the past, suggesting they should follow Twitch more with a better chat experience.

However, as xQc suggests, there may be more changes for them to make moving forward.
