While it is the prolonged exposure that poses the most danger, it’s also highly possible that a severe enough cold snap could completely overwhelm Wolverine’s healing factor.
This is far from the first time that the metal inside Logan has turned against him, but it doesn’t usually outdo his legendary healing capacity. After all, Wolverine’s mutation is one of Marvel’s most powerful – and inarguably its most iconic – healing factors. Still, it is far from perfect. Yes, Logan is capable of healing from practically any wound, but there are still some drawbacks to his incredible metabolism, including his calorie intake. In this case,Wolverine’s powers can’t indefinitely protect him against a dangerously low core temperature– especially not one brought on by the Adamantium that helps make him so formidable.

With his more bestial and melee-focused abilities, Logan is usually pitted against brute force threats and berserkers like Sabretooth, or his old rival, the Hulk. That said, this unique vulnerability to prolonged cold could give him a hard time against anyone with temperature manipulation abilities like Storm or Iceman. While it is the prolonged exposure that poses the most danger, it’s also highly possible that a severe enough cold snap couldcompletely overwhelm Wolverine’s healing factorand leave him all the more vulnerable to conventional attacks.
As revealed inDeadpool and Wolverine: WWIII, intense cold could be the key to permanently killing Wolverine.

Wolverine
The human mutant Wolverine (a.k.a. Logan) was born James Howlett, blessed with a superhuman healing factor, senses, and physiology. Subjecting himself to experimentation to augment his skeleton and claws with adamantium, Logan is as deadly as he is reckless, impulsive, and short-tempered. Making him the X-Men’s wildest and deadliest member, and one of Marvel Comics' biggest stars. He’s played in Fox and Marvel’s movie franchises by Hugh Jackman.
