One of them is Tombat, a Dark-type creature you’ll find once you venture into the Palpagos Island during the night. This Pal comes with a very useful Partner Skill called Ultrasonic Sensor, which allows it to use ultrasonic waves to detect the location of nearby Pals. That way you can easily find new creatures to catch or know which routes to avoid if you don’t want to fight.

This mix between a cat and a bat can be seen early on in the game, mainlybetween the Plateau of Beginnings and the Grassy Behemoth Hills, but during nighttime. Luckily for players, the purple fire glowing around it will make it easier to spot in the dark.

Keep in mind that to raise Tombat’s catch rate, you’ll have to lower its health before throwing yourPal Sphere. As a Dark-type, you can easily deal damage with a Dragon-type Pal, but be careful, as if you kill it, you won’t be able to catch it.
If you want to add it to your base, this creature is a solid addition as it is good for Gathering, Mining, and Transporting too, so everything it harvests, will be taken to the crates.
