The Boys creator is avoiding this notorious Star Wars TV show’s mistake in Gen V Season 2
Gen V Season 2will “carry the torch” intoThe Boys Season 5, but creator Eric Kripke wants to make sure both shows still stand alone.
Gen Vhad two huge ties toThe Boys: it explained the origins of thesupe virus, now in Butcher’s possession after the events of Season 4; and in the finale, Homelander flew into Godolkin University and blasted Marie with his laser vision… and she survived.

At the end of the first season, Marie and co. were locked away in a mysterious facility. For reasons that aren’t yet clear, they’ll return to God U in Season 2, which has been transformed under Homelander’s oversight in the American government.
As you’d expect, there will be some overlap between Gen V and the flagship series – but Eric Kripke doesn’t want it to fall into the same trap as an infamous Star Wars series.

Gen V Season 2 won’t be The Boys’ Book of Boba Fett
The Book of Boba Fett is (or should have been) exactly what it sounds like: a spinoff focusing on Boba Fett, Star Wars’ beloved bounty hunter.
However, it ended up becoming a pivotal stepping stone beforeThe MandalorianSeason 3, reuniting Din Djarin with Grogu after their emotional farewell at the end of the second season. This was widely criticized by fans, with many seeing it as an insult to Boba Fett as a character who wasn’t afforded the chance to shine in his own show.

Also, the fact that an essential part of Mando and Grogu’s story was shoehorned into another project altogether is a prominent example of the streaming era’s ‘homework problem’: the feeling that you need to watch everything to keep up with what’s happening in a huge franchise.
So, back to Gen V. Considering Marie Moreau’s blood-bending powers and her being able to withstand a laser-eye blast from Homelander, fans have suspectedshe could play a major role in the final season of The Boys.

Speaking toEW, Kripke said: “I’m very sensitive to the fact that Gen V should be primarily about the characters from Gen V and The Boys should be primarily about the characters from The Boys.

“While there can be crossovers and assists and help, it’s a little bit of a rug pull and not a great way when you’ve committed to watching, say, Boba Fett, and then for two episodes of Boba Fett, it’s just the Mandalorian. I don’t wanna do that. We have stories to tell in each one.”
In other words, it’s unlikely that The Boys will lean on a character from another show at the 11th hour.
Nevertheless, Marie’s actress Jaz Sinclair wants to be the one to take out Homelander. “I was always hoping that they would write me to kill Homelander,” she said.
“I just like that she’s an underdog, and I like that she’s a Black woman, too. This super sexist, patriarchal bad guy. I would love to see him get his ass handed to him by a Black woman.”
