Summary

AsStarfieldplayers gear up for the Xbox Showcase, rumor has it thatone of the community’s most wanted features will finally be revealed during the presentation. Given its position as one of Microsoft’s premiere exclusives, it stands to reason that Bethesda’s sci-fi RPG will have some kind of presence during the company’s annual showcase but the studio has kept relatively quiet on what users can expect to see. Aside from hinting at more news regarding the long-awaitedShattered SpaceDLC, reports claimStarfield’s best feature will recieved a major upgrade and allow players to think even bigger.

According toStarfieldleakerOdah_SFAon X (formerly Twitter),Bethesda plans on revealing more information on the aformentioned expansion and will allegedly provide a sneak peek at the game’s Creation Kit, a feature users have requested for months.

Yet perhaps the most exciting detail is thatthe presentation will also confirm details on the next major patch which will reportedly add in the ability to construct entire space stations. The community has been begging for such a feature since launch, asking that Bethesda expand the ship-building mechanic to allow for even more elaborate constructions that can be used as in-orbit outposts.

One Rare Starfield Weapon May Be A Glimpse Into Combat For The Shattered Space DLC

Starfield is great in some ways but severely lacking in others, making room for some significant updates in the Shattered Space DLC.

How Could Space Stations Work In Starfield?

A Home Away From Home

It’s worth noting that fans should take Odah_SFA’s report with a grain of salt until Xbox provides some kind of official announcement butthe ability to design and craft entire space stations would undoubtedly be a massive addition toStarfield. It’s easy to imagine discovering a planet and constructing a make-shift base in orbit to serve as a small point of operations for every planet in the sector. A space station could even serve asa collection point for outpostson planets in the vicinity, significantly speeding up resource collecting.

It also stands to reason thatStarfield’s ship-building mechanic to expanded upon to include space stations given the nature of the system. Bethesda purposefully incorporateda modular design to the main in-game components to ensure a decent amount of customization that didn’t complicate the design process. Being able to build a floating base using parts of a similar nature doesn’t seem liketoo big of a mechanical leap.
