Warning: The following contains spoilers for chapter #260 of Jujutsu Kaisen!!
Summary
Jujutsu Kaisen’s final battle against Sukuna has had a lot of important developments in recent chapters. One of the biggest surprises was thereturn ofJujutsu Kaisen’s fan-favorite character, Yuji’s older brother and “best friend,”Aoi Todoin chapter #259, who had been missing since Shibuya’s incident, with his last contribution in the story being helping defeat Mahito, but at the cost of losing his left hand. Todo’s curse technique, “Boogie Woogie”, required him to clap his hands to swap people’s places, so after severing his own hand, it was implicit that he couldn’t use his CT anymore.
However, this changed in chapter #260, which showed how Todo replaced his missing hand with an instrument named Vibraslap, which lets him use Boogie Woogie with the collision of the metal piece hitting the wooden box, instead of clapping his hands, allowing him to improve his curse technique and now being able to perform 50 swaps per second.

This change in Todo’s ability not only brings a new opportunity for him to team up with Yuji and fight Sukuna but alsoexplains one ofJujutsu Kaisen’s biggest moments: how Yuta killed Kenjaku.
Jujutsu Kaisen’s Latest Big Character Death Was Absolutely Wasted
Jujutsu Kaisen’s recent poorly executed death diminishes the importance of a key character and hints at potential pacing issues for the series finale.
Todo Helped Yuta Kill Kenjaku
Jujutsu Kaisen’s Chapter #243 Shows that Todo Used Boogie Woogie to Swap Yuta
Jujutsu Kaisen’s chapter #260 showed Todo using Boogie Woogie in the battle against Sukuna to continuously switch places between him, Yuji, and Sukuna, andevery time Todo uses his curse technique, the SFX (sound effect) in Japanese is “カァァァンツ” translated “Kaaang” and is the real sound produced by a vibraslap. In chapter #243, Yuta Okkotsu, one ofJJK’s strongest characters, sneaks up on Kenjaku from behind, withKenjaku realizing it quickly and turning around to attack him. But before Kenjaku could even respond, Yuta had already switched places and sliced off his head.
Kenjaku even wondered how Okkotsu did it, since he should have noticed Yuta’s moves because of his enormous amount of curse energy. At the moment Yuta swaps places, the panel shows the same SFX “Kaaang,” which isn’t the sound that a blade makes while cutting, but with the revelation of the Boogie Woogie Revised, the SFX proves that it was Todo who helped Yuta kill Kenjaku. Also, this is reinforced by the fact that,in chapter #259, Todo asks Mei Mei to deliver a message to also carry out Yuta’s plan. Kenjaku’s death wouldn’t have been possible without Todo’s help.

Todo’s Participation Gives More Meaning to Kenjaku’s Death.
Kenjaku’s Defeat Was Carefully Planned
Kenjaku was one ofJujutsu Kaisen’s main villains, and his death came as a surprise to the fans due to the unexpectedness of Yuta’s attack. Kenjaku thought that he didn’t notice Yuta because Takaba’s technique acted as bait. However, by adding Todo’s participation, it means that Kenjaku’s defeat was carefully planned and required three sorcerers, which gives more depth to his final moments. Additionally, it shows how Gege Akutami foreshadowed Todo’s return and proves how he puts so much effort into crafting the story that little details can mean so much inJujutsu Kaisenthe biggest shonen anime in years.
