Out-of-the-box ideas are the Fantastic Four’smodus operandi. Reed leans heavily on logical thinking and proven principles, so vampires are outside his area of expertise…Yet that won’t stop him from looking for a cure.
Blood Hunt has already brought wide devastationand taken down multiple Avengers, but some heroes are uniquely suited to fighting blood drinkers. Reed’s skin makes him invulnerable to bites, and he’s able to stretch himself to protect the entire Museum of Modern Art. Moreover, he forms his body into a tunnel to get citizens to the larger Madison Square Garden, and quickly develops functional artificial sunlight with Alicia to ward off their would-be assailants. He stretches himself (literally) beyond his “usual safety thresholds” in the process, so it may not be sustainable, but he is already contemplating the larger solution.

Even as he and Alicia are being attacked, he insists they are mythical creatures. Yet that won’t stop him from looking for a cure, but he needs to determine what the rules for vampirism actually are. He compares sunlight and other protections to a cure in the same way that “a gun is a cure for cancer,” ashe gears up for a deeper dive into the catastrophe in a way only Mr. Fantastic can.
As Marvel’s Blood Hunt becomes more dire, Mr. Fantastic is stretching his mind, as much as his body, to eliminate the vampire threat and save the world and the Fantastic Four.
