Kai Cenat reveals his long-term plan beyond Twitch streaming
Kai Cenat has doubled down on his plans for what he wants to do after Twitch as the AMP star continues to lead the way on the Amazon-owned platform.
Over the last few years, a number of content creators have been able to take their success from YouTube, TikTok, and Twitch, and turn it into a mainstream career. A few have become musicians, while others have gone on to be actors.
As the biggest name on Twitch at the minute,Kai Cenatis the next creator that viewers point to as making the leap into the mainstream. He’s had some success in the music world with his AMP collective, but that isn’t his next step after Twitch.
Instead, the streaming star wants to be around TV and movies, both behind the camera as a director and in front of it as an actor.
Kai Cenat doubles down on acting career after Twitch
It came up duringAMP’s interview with Rolling Stonewhere Kai, again, reiterated his desire to moving into the TV and movies industry at some point.
“I ain’t going to lie. I think I want to act and direct my own shows and more movies,” Cenat told Rolling Stone before Duke Dennis noted he’d like to play a “dead body” in an episode of Law and Order at some point.
“One episode, even if I’m just a dead body or something. I’m cool. That’s my peak,” Dennis chimed in. Just imagine a Law and Order episode directed by Kai that has a cameo from Duke.
Moving into TV and movies is something thatKai has mentioned before, including during an appearance on the A Safe Place Podcast in July 2023.
“My angle is acting. Full-time acting,” he told Lil Yachty and MitchGoneMad. “I know I’m not good at music… I can’t be in the studio bro [sic], it’s just hard and I respect everybody who does it.”
