Invincible fans nominate this Walking Dead actor to play Thragg in Season 4

After the finale ofInvincible Season 3, Robert Kirkman has confirmed Thragg has already been cast – and this Walking Dead star should play the villain, according to fans.

By the end of Season 1,Invinciblealready had one of the all-time great superhero villains with Nolan Grayson, aka Omni-Man. However, he’s started his redemption arc, so another antagonist needs to take his place.

Angstrom Levy, Powerplex, and (especially)Conquestare all contenders for the best villains in Invincible so far – but the biggest bad is yet to come: Thragg, the grand regent of the Viltrumite Empire. No spoilers, don’t worry… but you should be worried.

We’re not even halfway through the story (Season 3 ended on Issue #65), but if the show sticks to the comics, Thragg could show up by the end of the fourth season.

Invincible fans want Jon Bernthal as Thragg

Jon Bernthal is among fans’ top picks to play Thragg in Invincible, coming after Kirkman confirmed the role had already been cast (he didn’t outright say he’d appear in Season 4, but it seems likely).

“I mean, it would certainly be weird if he didn’t show up in the show. Yeah. I mean, I don’t know. It’s so tough. Here’s what I’ll say: He’s been cast and he’s amazing,” he toldVariety.

Kirkman has already tapped a few stars from TWD for theInvincible cast(Steven Yeun, Ross Marquand, and Lauren Cohan, among others), so why not nab the show’s first major villain as Invincible’s most important antagonist?

“Jon Bernthal is my favorite choice, I don’t want Thragg to sound super duper low, but I NEED him to sound cold, extremely cold, thus why I think he’d be perfect,” one user wrote.

“Jon Bernthal would be f**king ICONIC to play Thragg. He’s got the cold intensity for it, plus it’s another Walking Dead tie-in,” another posted. “Kirkman has been pulling deep from TWD bucket for voices for this show. I could see Jon Bernthal be a great Thragg tbh,” a third wrote.

“Hey, so who do I have to talk to ask that Jon Bernthal be cast as Thragg?” a fourth asked.
