Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 is thenext major update, and it’s going to beone huge Star Wars crossover.
EveryFortniteseason comes with its own distinct theme that separates it from the others. Chapter 6 Season 1 was heavily inspired by Japanese culture, while the current map revolves around robbing banks and pulling off heists.

Occasionally, Epic like to pull out all the stops and drop a season that focuses on one major franchise, such as the two Marvel seasons we’ve seen previously. Chapter 6 Season 3 is set to be the biggest Star Wars collab yet, so here’s everything we know about it so far.
Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 start date
The new Fortnite season starts onFriday, July 10, 2025.
There are usually a few hours of downtime before the new season kicks off, with downtime for Season 2 starting at 2 AM ET. Epic Games usually drop the downtime details shortly before the season begins, so we’ll know more closer to the time.
Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3, titled ‘Galactic Battle,’ is Star Wars-themed. It has aBattle Pass full of Star Wars skins(like Poe Dameron, General Grievous, and Palpatine), galaxy far away-themed POIs, weapons, and vehicles, andweekly content updates.

It will all culminate with theDeath Star Sabotage eventon June 7, in which players band together to destroy the Death Star.

How long is Star Wars season in Fortnite?
Fortnite’s Star Wars season lasts until June 7, ending with the Death Star Sabotage event, making it five weeks long. This is much shorter than the roughly 90 days (10 weeks) that seasons normally last, making it theshortest-lived to date.
That being said, Epic have been leaning more towards shorter seasons in recent months, with Chapter 6 Season 2 lasting around 72 days when all is said and done.
