20 Hidden Items In Fallout 76 (& How to Find Them)
Like other games in the franchise, exploring the open world Fallout 76 landscape will reveal delightful surprises through some powerful hidden items.
General Tips For Hacking Terminals
Make Sure Your Character Has The Right Perks
While you explore, you may encounterLevel 0, Level 1, Level 2, or Level 3 hackable terminalsthat all have different requirements for your character to access. To100% complete everything inFallout 76, you have to invest perk points in certain skills to hack terminals you come across.Level 0 terminals are the only ones you can hack without any perksas you explore the Wasteland.
Getting the"Hacker"perk lets you access Level 1 terminals, but you have toobtain the"Expert Hacker"and"Master Hacker"cards to access Level 2 and 3 terminals. Each of the cards you want is under the Intelligence section of your character’s stats when you look at their S.P.E.C.I.A.L. spread. Once you have the right skills, you can try to break into any terminal in the world to earn the achievement.

Any perk cards you have can be equipped and unequipped at will from your character menu, so be sure to switch in the"Hacker"cards you need when you are trying to hack a high level terminal.
When you start hacking a terminal, you havefour chances to guess the correct passwordbefore getting rejected from the device. It may take a few attempts to break into a terminal, but those who have practiced enough times will eventually start seeing patterns to make this process easier. For example, you know which letters you guess right for a terminal’s password during a hack attempt, so use them again as you make another.

Failing to hack into a Terminal of any Level will cause the device to lock you out unless your character has the"Computer Expert"perk card equipped. Take your time on each attempt, especially as the passwords become longer on Terminals of higher Levels inFallout 76. Some Terminals that reset may have different passwords when you try to hack them more than once, so don’t rely on prior knowledge to succeed.

However, once you can, you gain a lot of XP from breaking into the devices with the toughest firewalls.
One of theharsh realities of playingFallout 76comes from having to pay Caps to travel around. After spending many to track down other Terminals, you may be running low on funds to reach these final machines in the open world.

Youonly need to hack 50 of these Terminals to unlock the"Code Cruncher"achievement, so you do not have to track down every location of these devices. Some players have even figured out how to manipulate this objective’s requirement by resetting their game and hacking the same Level 0 Terminal over and over. No matter how you accomplish this, the achievement will bring you closer to the game’s 100% completion.
World objectives and Daily Challenges may also ask you to hack into a certain number of Terminals for additional rewards. This goal varies, but those with every perk card should be able to accomplish these tasks with few issues as they appear. You canunlock the"Master Infiltrator"perknear max level toautomatically hack any Terminalwithout having to guess the password of any machine.

“Master Infiltrator"is a perk card that overrides all other perk cards related to hacking, even if your character doesn’t meet the level requirements for"Master Hacker"or"Expert Hacker.”
With enough patience, you can unlock every Terminal you come across, even those at higher Levels. The experience you gain will make it much easier to level up your character to meet the prerequisites for some of the perks necessary for this process. Once you hack every Terminal of all Levels after tracking down their locations inFallout 76, you can access them again for future objectives or challenges.
