Naturally, there are a tonne of rumors and leaks about what they might have in store as well. One of the biggest talking points has surrounded weekly promos.

There have been claims that EA FC 26 will have fewer promos than ever before, especially as pre-orders will receive untradable ICONs, as well as 93+ rated player picks. However, fans don’t need to worry.

Jamey Cane, Senior Lead Product Manager at EA Sports FC, has cleared things up. “Something else I wanted to clarify – when I mentioned slowing the power curve, the goal is to help items stay relevant longer. Cane noted that “weekly squad releases” will continue, and that the “big, boost-heavy” promos from the past.

“If it helps frame things: we’re calibrating the pace to be closer to FIFA 23 or FC24 – meaningfully slower than FC25, but not dialed all the way back to something like the FIFA 15 days,” Cane continued, bringing his lengthy thread to a close.
