The Echo of Duriel is an Uber Boss inDiablo 4introduced along with season two, Season of Blood, but players in Loot Reborn can still farm this Boss for Unique and Legendary loot. To summon the Echo of Duriel inDiablo 4,players need to find two Shards of Agony and two Mucus-Slicked Eggs. Shards of Agony require players first to find Living Steel, gathered by participating and openingchests in Helltide events. You can find Living Steel primarily in chests marked as Torture Chests of Living Steel, but also off of enemies and mini-bosses. After gathering five pieces of Living Steel, you can summon and slay the Uber Boss Grigoire to claim your Shards of Agony.
You must complete several Tree of Whispers objectives to gather Mucus-Slicked Eggs. you may pick up Gurgling Heads, Trembling Hands, Malignant Hearts, and Blackened Femurs by completing these optional quests.
With these four items in the tote, you’re able to summon and slay an Echo of Varshan to acquire Mucus-Slick Eggs.The Tree of Whispers is found in the swampy areas of Hawezar.If you have already beaten the main story, you have likely unlocked the area’s Waypoint. The only challenging enemies you will face in the dungeon leading up to Duriel are the Heralds and Disciples.As long as you are level 100 or above and adequately gearedto take on World Tier Three or Four content inDiablo 4. Whenever you approach the altar, you must interact with the two necessary items in your inventory: Mucus-Slicked Eggs and Shards of Agony. After this, the Echo of Duriel will spawn, and you can finally fight this long-awaited boss.

Given that the Echo of Duriel stands at the top of the Uber Boss ladder inDiablo 4, he is significantly harder to beat than the likes of Grigorie, Varshan, or Lord Zir. The best way to prepare for Duriel is toload up on Poison Resistance before engaging the endgame-level boss.
The overwhelming majority of Duriel’s moveset inflicts poison damage over time, so without any preparations, you likely will not last very long in this fight. The Elixir of Poison Resistance or gear with Poison Resistant specific effects is best equipped for this fight.
The Elixir of Poison Resistance is the easiest, non-gear-specific form of Poison Resistance you’re able to acquire inDiablo 4. You need to gather 20 Bundled Herbs, 300 Emerald Fragments, and 3,000 gold to craft this. For a greater effect, craft the Elixir of Poison Resistance II.
During the fight, Duriel spawns several additional enemies that deal constant fire and poison damage. Removing these swiftly adds from the battle before Duriel emerges is best. There are also several holes in the arena where Duriel will spawn additional enemies or launch attacks.

Being an Uber Boss, Echo of Duriel can drop Unique gear. Unique gear is a highly sought-after and essential endgame item to fully realize your build. Unique gear has the lowest drop rates inDiablo 4, so check out which pieces are available to your class before going into this fight.
Necromancer
Although Duriel drops some of the best Unique and Uber Unique loot inDiablo 4, he is not the source of all Unique drops in the game. Other Uber bosses, such as Lord Zir, are also excellent sources for finding more unique gear.
Other Uber Bosses are not quite as exhaustive or time-consuming to summon as Echo of Duriel, given that he is considered the capstone boss in Season of Blood’s tier list.
