Cheaters already hacking in Battlefield 6 hours after beta starts
Cheaters have already been found in theBattlefield 6Open Beta, despite the devs forcing players to enableSecure Bootbefore jumping.
By virtually any metric, Battlefield 6 is already off to a flying start. The Open Beta had thousands of fans waiting before the servers even went live, and it quickly became themost-watched game on Twitchand thebiggest BF title to datein terms of peak players.

It’s a solid beginning for a series looking to find its footing again. But it’s not all smooth sailing, as it hasn’t taken long for cheaters to be spotted in various lobbies.
BF6 Open Beta is already full of hackers
After going online on August 7, clips quickly started emerging of players using cheats to gain an advantage.
‘ItsHapa’ shared a clip on X of a player using wallhacks to mark where enemy players are from the other side of the map.

🚨CONFIRMED: Cheats are already working in Battlefield 6.This footage proves CHEATS are FULLY FUNCTIONAL on Day 1 of Early Access Beta.pic.twitter.com/j9WSyWPEI1
This was far from the only evidence, either, as ‘Nova’ also shared a post of a player using similar software, as did YouTuber ‘Frozen_ssdd.’

Just a quick heads up! Forcing players to enable TPM 2.0 and Kernel-level driver anti-cheat system doesn’t prevent hackers/cheaters spoofing and/or use 3rd party cheat software. Believe it or not, it is still happening on@Battlefield6 Open Beta test!pic.twitter.com/pO6611a0Fp
All of this is despite Battlefield 6 forcing PC players to enableSecure Bootto access the Open Beta, something thatBlack Ops 7 is also adopting. This ensures that there is no suspicious software installed when a PC is booted up, but hackers are still clearly able to use cheats once this check has been passed.
The game also uses Javelin Anti-Cheat to identify cheaters once matches are ongoing, but as we’ve seen in the past in Call of Duty and past Battlefield titles, this is often much trickier to do.
BF6 Producer, Alexia Christofi, hasresponded to the issue, confirming that the team is aware and the player in ItsHapa’s clip is “already banned,” but it still has some fans worried about the full release and the measures in place.

“Bro lmfao ea humiliated. Secureboot is a waste of time,” said one player, before another added: “Multiplayer games are fried. All this bulls**t secure boot for nothing. What a joke.”
Battlefield 6 doesn’t arrive until June 07, 2025, so players will be hoping that the devs can find a way to combat cheaters before the full launch rolls around.
