Tactical Sprint has been a controversial feature inCall of Dutyever since Modern Warfare 2019, andBlack Ops 7is giving players the choice of whether they want to use it or not.

Commonly referred to as Tac Sprint, this feature lets you sprint faster while raising your gun in the air. Although you moved faster, you’d also take a significantly longer time to ready your weapon, leading to a lot of frustration.

Tactical Sprint removed by default in BO7

CoD players, especially the competitive player base, have been desperate to see it removed, and it’s finally happening with Black Ops 7. However, you also have the choice to turn it back on by equipping a Perk.

MW3 and Black Ops 6 tested out this change by adding the All-Terrain Boots and Slipstream Perks, which removed Tac Sprint while boosting your movement speed. BO7 now does the opposite, turning the controversial feature off by default while including the Tactical Sprint Perk to let you temporarily move faster.

It appears BO7 intends to give you a lot more control over your movement and how fast you want to be, as there will also be Perks for faster movement, quicker recovery times, firing while sprinting, and faster reloads.

Plus, the new Omnimovement system adds wall-jumping to the game, but you won’t be able to aim down sight while sliding, diving, or wall-jumping by default, so you’ll need to equip a new Perk to be able to.
