Nearly two decades after it went off-air, the series returned for a reboot in 2023 that also starred actor Kelsey Grammer. In February of this year,Frasierseason 2was announced, and it went into production in May.
As perVariety, one of the originalFrasierstars will be coming back for season 2 of the reboot. Said star is Harriet Sansom Harris, who will reprise her original role as Bebe Glazer in a guest starring role. The series also cast the role of Phoebe Glazer, who is Bebe’s daughter. Harris was a recurring guest character in the originalFrasier. Though she appeared in only 11 episodes, Bebe was one of the most beloved characters in the series, and was, as the show would say, “iconic.” The announcement of Harris' season 2 appearance comes after the return of two otheroriginalFrasiercharacters was revealed earlier this month. These returns will include Dan Butler as Bob “Bulldog” Briscoe and Edward Hibbert as Gil Chesterton.
In terms of re-introducing Harris,Frasiercould not have chosen better timing. The actor has been heating up again in recent years, earning an Emmy nomination in 2022 for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series for the acclaimed TV seriesHacks. She has also appeared in a number of high-profile films, includingLicorice PizzaandPhantom Thread. Bloom is also a good casting choice, as her work on theseriesCrazy Ex-Girlfriendrevealed a vivacious energy that suits her well for playing a “magnetic personality.”
