What The New Set Photos Tell Us About Taylor-Johnson And 28 Years Later
Details are hard to come by as to the plot of28 Years Later, and the newly-revealed set photos frankly offer few clues as to what indeed is going on nearly three decades after the outbreak of theRage Virus. Things still seem in a desperate state, however, as a couple of the images show Taylor-Johnson running through an outdoor, rural setting. This suggests that the situation on the ground hasn’t improved much since Murphy’s Jim was seen fleeing the infected in some of the more iconic images from 2002’s original film.
Taylor-Johnson’s costume of checked shirt, pants and boots look like the gear of a survivalist, and his beard and hair suggest that grooming hasn’t been a recent priority for his character. The actor’s bulky frame hints that he’s put on some weight for the role, so his character at least has been able to stay in shape during the post-apocalypse.

Not seen in any of the new photos are Taylor-Johnson’s co-stars, the aforementioned Murphy, Jodie Comer, Ralph Fiennes or Jack O’Connell. This first look at28 Years Latermay not be overflowing with telling hints about the film, but they do help build anticipation for the release of the long-awaited sequel, and for Taylor-Johnson’s next role after he playsKraven the Hunterlater in 2024.
